In this visual essay, we've asked 15 international artists and designers to share their snapshots of what home looks like to them. The contributing artists and designers are Carl Emil Jacobsen, Karen Bennicke, Isabel Berglund, the duo Muller Van Severen, Karen Kviltu Lidal, Kristine Bjaadal, Erlend Leirdal, Kristine Five Melvær, Jad El Khoury, Sayed Sattar Hasan, Nellie Jonsson, Estelle Bourdet, Mette Saabye and Kari Håkonsen.

What makes one feel at home is different for each of us. Is it the smell of freshly brewed coffee? An exceptional painting that creates a particular atmosphere? A ceramic cup made by a friend? Is home found in spending time outdoors, whether in nature or the city? Is it a language, a scent, or the presence of loved ones? Home is a concept that varies widely in interpretation, influenced by context, culture, work, life, and everything in between.
