Ida Marie Nissen

Ida Nissen holds a degree from the Royal Danish Academy of Architecture, Design and Conservation in Copenhagen. For over two decades, she has worked with visual communication across design, architecture, urban planning, art, and culture. For the past five years, she has run her own practice as an independent art director and graphic designer under the name by Ida Nissen.

Her approach to visual communication and design is grounded in her education at the Royal Danish Academy and shaped by a diverse professional background — as a trained journalist from DMJX, entrepreneur and co-founder of the Danish design studio Goodmorning Technology, senior project manager at e-Types, and, most recently, as a freelance art director and graphic designer.

Recently, Ida developed the visual concept and design for a major publication on urban renewal for Realdania, Fra Gade til By, and created the exhibition catalogue for Mie Olise Kjærgaard's solo show at Trapholt Museum of Design, Art and Craft.

Ida Marie Nissen is the co-editor of The Vessel 10: HOME together with Charlotte Jul.
