Heidi Bjørgan

Heidi Bjørgan (b. 1970) is a Norwegian ceramic artist and curator who holds an MA degree in both ceramic art (1998–2000) and creative curating (2008–2010) from Bergen Academy of Art and Design. Bjørgan also attended Konstfack in Stockholm from 2000 to 2001.

She has had several exhibitions in Norway and abroad, including solo exhibitions at Nordenfjeldske Kunstindustrimuseum in Trondheim (2016), Kunstnerforbundet in Oslo (2017), Galleri Dropsfabrikken in Trondheim (2020), Sogn og Fjordane Kunstmuseum in Førde (2021), Nitja Senter for Samtidskunst in Lillestrøm (2021) and Taste contemporary in Gèneve (2022). Among the number of group exhibitions she has participated in, we find Le Cru et le Cuit at Galerie Favardin et Verneuil in Paris (2010), Size Matters at Kode in Bergen (2011), Inspired II at the Scandinavian Center in Jingdezhen (2016), Material Consequences at Wu Changshuo M Museum in Shanghai (2017), Converging Bodies at Patrick Parrish in New York (2018), and Afterglow that was exhibited at Clay Museum of Ceramic Art Denmark in Middelfart (2021), The Gustavsberg Porcelain Museum in Stockholm (2022) and Kunsthall Grenland in Porsgrunn (2022).

Among her curatorial projects, we find Beyond G(l)aze that she co-curated together with Bjørn Inge Follevaag, Feng Boyi and Wang Dong, exhibited at Kode in Bergen (2015), and Forces - Dyrdal Kvasbø Tingleff, also exhibited at Kode in Bergen (2019) and co-curated together with Anne Britt Ylvisåker and Frank Falch.
