Åsa Dybwad Norman
Åsa Dybwad Norman, (b.1984) is a textile artist and educator living and working in Arvika and Gothenburg, Sweden. She is currently a Senior Lecturer of Textile Art at the Master’s Programme at HDK-Valand, University of Gothenburg. Previously she has worked as a guest lecturer at HDK Valand Campus Steneby, Konstfack and Linköping University, among others. The general themes of her artistic practice revolve around how and under what conditions practical knowledge takes its place in contemporary society. She works with exhibitions, workshops, seminars and text. Åsa’s relates to text as she relates to textiles, a way to construct and direct materials to unfold and fold a language.
