Stian Korntved Ruud

Stian Korntved Ruud (b. 1989) is a Norwegian designer and artist whose work is rooted in his fascination with how objects are made and put together. Through experimentation, modification, reparation, and destruction of objects, Ruud’s practice is research driven and conscious of the materials’ inherent properties.

Stian Korntved Ruud holds a BA in Product Design from Akershus University College (2008-20011) and the Oslo School of Architecture and design (2011). In 2013, Ruud had an internship at Tom Dixon in London. His work has been exhibited in numerous group- and solo exhibitions in Norway and abroad. Ruud was awarded The Craft Prize from The Relief Fund for Visual Artists in 2015.

Stian Korntved Ruud was a guest editor together with Pearla Pigao for the sixth issue of The Vessel titled Modulating Craft.
