Drew Snyder

Drew Snyder (b. 1985, Fort Worth. he/him) is an art historian and curator living in Oslo. He holds a PhD in Art History, Theory and Criticism from the Department of Visual Arts at the University of California, San Diego. He is currently Senior Curator at KORO – Public Art Norway and from 2018–2021 he was the Programme Manager at the Office for Contemporary Art Norway (OCA).

His work at KORO includes large-scale public art projects connected to the new Government Quarter and the new Museum of the Viking Age, both in Oslo, as well as investigations of public art in the context of Truth and Reconciliation processes in Norway and Sápmi. He has worked as an independent curator, researcher, and writer on projects in Ghana, Norway, South Africa, and the United States, including curating the exhibitions Just Like Us: Constellations with Eric Gyamfi at the Goethe Institute in Johannesburg and Fragmental Memories with Germain Ngoma, which included editing a retrospective monograph of Ngoma’s work for Tenthaus Oslo.
