Andrea Fjordside Pontoppidan

Andrea Fjordside Pontoppidan is a literary scholar, editor, writer, and reviewer. She holds a master's degree in Literary Studies and graduated from Biskop Arnö's course in criticism and essay. Pontoppidan works in the intersection between art, literature, and practices and policies related to agriculture, where she investigates ways of understanding relationships and entanglements between the human and the more-than-human in light of the destruction of land, and ecosystems in general, that characterize our neoliberal, capitalist contemporary.

Pontoppidan works freelance, writing essays, articles, prose, poems, forewords, afterwords, and reviews for e.g. Atlas Magazine and Standard. She also edits manuscripts, both non-fiction and fiction, and moderates conversations and give lectures. From 2017–2024, she was an editor for the experimental curatorial platform Laboratory for Aesthics and Ecology. In February 2023, her fiction debut Kartoffeløje was published by the publisher Ovbidat.
