Ingrid Askeland (b. 1975, Bø) is a Norwegian ceramic artist who lives and works in Oslo, Norway. Askeland’s artistic practice is rooted in storytelling through ceramic sculptures created with traditional techniques. By juxtaposing humorous and common themes with social criticism, one often sees her work as dark and satirical.

Askeland holds a master’s degree from the National Academy of the Arts in Oslo. She also attended Nordland Kunst- og Filmskole and the Art Academy in Bergen. Her work has been exhibited in Norway, and she is represented in the collection of the National Museum of Art, Architecture and Design.
