Feng Boyi is one of China's most influental curators and art critics. Since the late 1980s, Feng has been involved in Chinese contemporary art as a curator, critic, and editor, focusing on experimental, critical, marginal and alternative contemporary art groups and young artistic creation.

Together with the curators Heidi Bjørgan, Bjørn Inge Fuglevaag and Wang Dong, Feng co-curated the exhibition Beyond G(l)aze in 2015, a collaboration between Norwegian Crafts, Suzhou Jinji Lake Art Museum in China, and KODE Art Museums and Composer Homes in Bergen, Norway.
