Justine Nguyen holds a master's degree in art history from the University of Oslo (2022). Her thesis, Embodied Remembrances of Vietnam: Nostalgia and Archive-Bodies in Ea Sola's 'Drought and Rain (1995)', explored the limits and possibilities of nostalgia, memories of war, and how the body itself may work as a living archive.
Justine Nguyen has also studied performing arts and scenography at École Internationale de Théâtre Jacques Lecoq in Paris. She has worked as a director's assistant in Professor Camilla Eeg-Tverbakk's PhD project Theatre – ting: Toward a Materialist Practice of Staging Documents. Justine is also engaged in a research- and exhibition project at the National Museum of Art, Architecture and Design.
