Renate D. Dahl is a Norwegian artist with an MFA from the Oslo National Academy of the Arts. Her works consist primarily of three-dimensional objects that vary in size and are made of a range of materials, including precious metals, insulation, butter, and chocolate. Dahl uses sculptures, installations and photography to explore contemporary social norms, particularly in relation to the female body. Her art is deeply rooted in her own experiences and history, and raises important questions about how society treats and evaluates the female body both psychologically and physically.
